You will be met at the airport by your driver / guide. The drive to the world famous Maasai Mara will take you through the Great Rift Valley where there will be a short stop for photographs at the top of the escarpment. Continue driving through the rift valley arriving at Fisi Camp in time for lunch.
After lunch there will be a short briefing before you start with the first of the activities. You will recieve an information / workbook containing cultural and environmental information and space for personal notes.
Safari means journey, this journey will take you into the heart of the Maasai homeland where you will experience what it is like to live as a Maasai.
Witness their ancient culture that has remained unchanged for centuries, through talking to the Maasai, listening to their stories, visiting their homes and schools and joining them on activities. You will be amazed at how different their lives are while at the same time you will also find common ground, share your own experiences of living in the modern world with them.
Learn how they are adapting to the fast changing world whilst still keeping their cultural identity intact. Understand the new eviromental challenges that are now facing them.
Understand how the ecological system works in the Mara to benefit both the local population and the wild animals that also live here. Witness the beauty of the land and why conservation of the area and the animals that live here is important to all of us.
Two full days of this safari will be spent in the Maasai Mara reserve where you will see how the animals live and behave in their natural environment.
What you learn and experience on this safari will remain part of you forever.
