Photographic Safari

Situated Southwest of Kenya, covering an area of 1 510 square km, the Masai Mara is a land of breathtaking vistas, abundant wildlife, and endless plains, it is home to an excellent year-round concentration of game and is renowned for its annual visit by the two million animals that make up the Great Migration.

The drive to the Maasai Mara will take you through the great rift valley where there will be a short stop for photographs at the top of the escarpment. Continue driving through the rift valley arriving at Fisi Camp in time for lunch.

On this safari your days will be spent in the Maasai Mara reserve with the option of full day game drives with packed lunch or morning and afternoon game drives returning to camp for lunch, this will be decided by the personal preferences of the group. Giving you the opportunity of spending maximum amount of time in the reserve to find and observe the wild animals in their natural environment and of course to take some fantastic shots.

There will be an optional nature walk and visit to a local manyatta on one of the days.

Learn new techniques and exchange ideas with your fellow photographers, In the evenings sit around the campfire, under a starlit sky, listening to the Hyenas call, discuss the day’s events and make plans for the following day.

A computer is available in the dining area main tent for downloading photos; Just make sure you bring enough storage space! There are power points in all the tents and dining area for recharging batteries.

Transport for game drives will be a maximum of 4 people in 4x4 Jeep so everyone gets a good position for taking photographs.

July to September is the best time to come and witness the eighth wonder of the world, the wildebeest migration and a chance to capture them crossing the Mara river.

International flights excluded.
Rate is for full board accommodation in Fisi Camp.
Groups of 12 or more will have sole use of the campsite.
